Capita - Human to Hybrid
cinematography
This was a commercial shoot for Capita working with the production company 33 RED. The shoot consisted of two independent sets in the same studio shot over the course of one day at The Camden Studio. We planned it so that both sets were built in the morning and shot consecutively having to only move the camera once.
The lighting for the 1960s set was side lit with a large 12x12 silk book light setup using a pair of bounced 2K Arri tungsten fresnels. A Dedo Panaura octobox was used as an additional key light, a skypanel for a kicker followed by a source 4 with a gobo to create the shafts of light on the back wall to emulate a set of windows blinds. A bronze glimmer glass filter was used to soften the image and give it a vintage feel.
The futuristic set was shot with daylight settings utilising a pair of 4x2 Kino Flos boomed from above, a sky panel as a kicker and another sky panel using a TV screen effect to emulate flickering light from the monitor. During the scenes where he’s facing the monitor screen, we used a ring light to emulate the screen. A Schneider Hollywood Blackmagic filter was used to give a Hollywood blockbuster look to the image.
This was shot on the Arri Amira with with Cooke S4i glass.
